The Henrietta Lacks Legacy Group (HLLG) is a nonprofit, 501 (c) (3), organization that exists to protect, preserve and promote the legacy of Henrietta Lacks and her singular contributions to modern medicine. It also exists to serve as a clearing house for activities that extend Lacks’ legacy and historic Turner Station, Maryland where Lacks resided at the time of her death..
Much of the work of the Henrietta Lacks Legacy Group is done via committee. The Board of Directors meets 3 times a year—the third Saturday of March, June (Annual Meeting), and September at 12:00 p.m. Remote participation is welcomed. Please indicate below which committee(s) you would like to join.
Annual dues are $15.00 for individuals or $100.00 for businesses/organizations and should be made payable to the Henrietta Lacks Legacy Group/HLLG. You may also pay using our PayPal account at Hlackslegacy@gmail.com: $15.44 for individuals or $101.45 businesses/organizations. Regardless of when you join, your membership will be good for the entire calendar year. Thereafter, membership renewals are due by August 1.
Please note, effective August 1, 2019, annual dues will be $15.00 for individuals and $100.00 for businesses/organizations.
