Four Programs

The Henrietta Lacks Legacy Group (HLLG) is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) organization that exists to protect, preserve, and promote the legacy of Henrietta Lacks and her contributions to modern medicine through advocacy, health equity initiatives, and education. It also exists to support activities that extend Lacks’ legacy and historic Turner Station, Maryland, where Lacks resided at the time of her death.

Four Major Programs are:

  1. The Essay and Video Competition
  2. The Annual Steelworkers Program
  3. The Annual Luncheon
  4. The Tourism Program
